It’s a not-to-be-missed ‘eTown On the Road’ episode this week! In this special two-part re-broadcast, eTown heads to the beautiful Acadiana Center for the Arts (@AcadianaArts) in Lafayette, Louisiana to delve into the origins and vast musical styles of this rich cultural area.
There’ll be lots of great music from local artists including Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and banjo player Rhiannon Giddens (@RhiannonGiddens), Dirk Powell, The Band Courtbouillon, and a host of other artists. Also in Part One, we interview Joel Savoy and Josh Caffery, producers of the Grammy-nominated recording project entitled ‘I Wanna Sing Right: Rediscovering Lomax in the Evangeline Country.’
