Also on this week's show is Colorado based singer-songwriter Cary Morin who is joined by his wife, Celeste Di Iorio. Cary is a unique guitar player with a soulful voice and a great story to tell.

And from Austin, Texas by way of Paris, France comes Theo Lawrence who, as a young Frenchman, sings new original songs that allude to the classic country of the American past. Nick also discusses the complicated realities of US immigration policy with attorney, Tiago Guevara.

The Lil Smokies have graduated from 'up and coming' to 'fully arrived' - they showcase their hyper-melodic brand of song-strong Bluegrass music. Emily Scott Robinson shares the stage with her sultry voice and plays a 'spooky' tune with Nick, Helen and The eTones. Also, Christina Carlson, from Urban Peak in Denver, talks to Nick about youth and homelessness.

This week at eTown, we pay special tribute to Bob Weir, who spent a lifetime shaping the sound of American music. As a founding member of the Grateful Dead and a restless creative force beyond it, his songs have carried generations through questions of freedom, community, loss, joy and the long road in between. This show features music and conversation from Bob's visit to eTown in 2017, as well as a clip of a tune he and bassist Rob Wasserman played in eTown all the way back in 1993.
