Every eTown show is taped in front of a live audience and features performances from many of today’s top musical artists as well as conversations and information about the world around us. eTown’s mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience through music and conversation in order to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world.

We welcome folk-pop singer/songwriter Laura Veirs for her first eTown appearance. A prolific songwriter for nearly 20 years, Veirs has garnered praise throughout the years with her exquisite folk-pop sound.
Also joining us for his first eTown visit is a truly gifted, one-of-a-kind singer/songwriter, Aaron Lee Tasjan.
And we’ll have a conversation with this week’s eChievement Award winner, Peter Mui of California, founder of the Fixit Clinic network.

Memphis singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Valerie June joins us for her first visit to eTown. Her unique sound is a mixture of folk, blues, gospel, soul, country, Appalachian and bluegrass.
Singer and songwriter Mick Flannery, who hails from County Cork in Ireland, is our other musical guest.
And we’ll hear from Ann Rolfes the founder of Louisiana Bucket Brigade an environmental health and justice organization based in New Orleans which works with communities to help them hold state oil refineries and chemical plants in their neighborhoods accountable for following clean air standards.

Our first broadcast of 2020 features Grammy Award-winning blues multi-instrumentalist Delbert McClinton and blues and soul singer/songwriter and guitarist Robert Finley. Plus Nick sits down with Chris Pallister, the founder of Gulf of Alaska Keeper to learn how his organization is protecting the waters and habitat of the Northern Gulf of Alaska. And a golden eagle named Scout appears on the eTown stage in person with his “personal human” (and dear friend) who has been single-handedly saving injured wildlife in Utah for decades.

Veteran singer/songwriter Patty Griffin returns to the eTown stage after a long absence, and talented Brit John Smith brings his brilliant songwriting and gifted singing and playing to share during his first visit to eTown.
Plus, we’ll hear a truly awesome eChievement Award story about the founder of an organization that provides glasses (and a new lease on life) for thousands of people around the world who’ve been misdiagnosed as blind.

One of our all time favorites, Strand of Oaks, returns to the eTown stage this week. This dynamic, gifted writer and singer (and one of the genuinely nicest people you’ll ever meet) brings his full band this time around.
Coming solo to round out the musical portion of the show is young Anna Burch of Detroit, Michigan.
And we’ll have an award interview with a young man who’s come up with a truly unique and natural way to clean up the polluted waters of New York Harbor.
