This week on eTown, we're revisiting a special roadshow taped in 2022 at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. We have alternative rock band Wilco (lead by Jeff Tweedy) and outlaw country singer-songwriter Margo Price. Along with some incredible music from the two, the episode also includes Nick Forster's chats with Jeff and Margo backstage at the iconic venue.

Join us as eTown goes on the road to the historic Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colorado to catch a show featuring two musical guests from the American South whose music reflects their experience living there. Hiss Golden Messenger is an Americana band from North Carolina led by M.C. Taylor and Adeem The Artist is a non-binary country music artist from Knoxville, Tennessee.

This week’s “back by popular demand” program features Canadian singer-songwriter Patrick Watson, who grew up in Montreal; people often compare his art-music sensibilities with those of Rufus Wainwright or Gregory Alan Isakov. Also joining us is another Canadian singer-songwriter (and returning eTown visitor) Basia Bulat. Basia shares songs from a recent album, produced by My Morning Jacket’s Jim James. And we’ll have an inspiring conversation with this week’s eChievement Award winner, a young man from West Virginia helping coal miners who’ve lost their jobs because of automation or mine closings find meaningful work and solid income so they can support their families.

For part two of a two-part show, we’re joined by eTown veteran Aoife O’Donovan of the Grammy Award-winning band “I’m With Her.” Aoife returns to eTown for a very special performance with collaborator Jeremy Kittel, who co-produced and arranged Aoife’s first new studio recording in four years. Aoife and Jeremy are also joined by members of The Free Range String Quartet.
Also with us for their first visit is Latin and American roots band Che Apalache, featuring three powerhouse Latin American musicians – two from Argentina, Franco Martino (guitar), Martin Bobrik (mandolin), and Pau Barjau (banjo) from Mexico, as well as worldly frontman Joe Troop. Nick also sits down for a conversation with Bea Johnson, author of Zero Waste Home. Bea initiated the zero-waste movement and shares her tips for living a more sustainable lifestyle.
