Every eTown show is taped in front of a live audience and features performances from many of today’s top musical artists as well as conversations and information about the world around us. eTown’s mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience through music and conversation in order to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world.

In this week’s two part airing, we’re joined by eTown veteran Aoife O’Donovan of the Grammy Award-winning band “I’m With Her.” Aoife returns to eTown for a very special performance with collaborator Jeremy Kittel, who co-produced and arranged Aoife’s first new studio recording in four years. Aoife and Jeremy are also joined by members of the Free Range String Quartet.
Also with us, for their first visit, is Latin and American roots band Che Apalache, featuring three powerhouse Latin American musicians – two from Argentina, Franco Martino (guitar), Martin Bobrik (mandolin), and Pau Barjau (banjo) from Mexico, as well as worldly frontman Joe Troop.
We’ll also hear an inspiring story from KC Curberson-Alvarado who’s helping immigrants in Morristown, Tennessee by providing language and cultural education, in addition to legal assistance.

This week we revisit a show from 2020 featuring the rootsy super group Capitol Sun Rays. The group is made up by the talented Luther Dickinson, Amy Helm, Grahame Lesh along with the three core members of a real eTown favorite, Birds of Chicago: Allison Russell, JT Nero, and Drew Lindsay. We also welcome eTown friend and bluesman John Long, who became immersed in the blues scene at an early age, traveling and living with blues legend Homesick James starting in 1970. Also, we’ll hear from this week’s eChievement Award winner, Laura Stachel, who co-founded nonprofit, We Care Solar, that is saving the lives of countless women around the world.

This week on eTown, we’re featuring indie-folk-rock band Big Thief and legendary Americana singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams, live from Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. While the theatre of Red Rocks is dramatic in and of itself, this year’s show was electric–-storms brewed overhead before, during, and after. Paired with incredible music from Big Thief and Lucinda Williams, set and setting combined for a night that was nothing short of magic.
